I don't like it this way,
This is not what I wanted to do coming so far away,
Many of them in the industry often do say,
Never the less finally ends up with the thought, it just wasn't my day.
If this is not what it is then why do it,
If this is it, then why is it not fit,
Thinking and thinking hard everday you sit,
Late it would be when the thought to change would have lit.
Why on earth are we not doing what we like,
But if we did do what we like then ideas would never strike.
It seems to me that we feel it hard to accept a change,
For everything that happens seems so strange.
Be it work or be it a relation,
Denial of a change is not always the solution.
All of us follow a certain tried and tested track,
That moving away from it, you'll only be called a crack.
Very few there are who would take a chance,
Striding ahead, with every move, future at a glance.
You don't come into this world to write a chunk of code,
Or rather lecture someone scribbling on the board.
Isn't it wonderful to be living with many knowing you,
Rather than achieving something great and be applauded by a few.
When we try and make a move the feeling of losing is always high,
Not everyone on their first day learn to fly,
With the way things go, you are of course at a risk,
Wondering if the way I chose will ever click.
It doesn't sound easy either for me to be talking on this,
But this very thought which runs through my mind I wouldn't wanna miss.
Petty are my instincts for even I am nowhere,
For they lead me everywhere,
As is the case even I need a push somewhere,
For I know, today or tomorrow i'll make it there.
We don't have to hate what we have been doing,
Until unless you are clear of what you have to be doing.
Be happy for you live to make a change,
Be a change such that many who live can gauge.

Harry thats is very insightful of you to bring this decayed topic ,the software genre constantly nurtures everyday (including me :)) , it hovers in our minds every morning and the thought becomes frail till afternoon and dies every night . The youth nowdays is lead by dilema not surety . But mustering enough courage for pathbreaking , and following no trails , accepting risks will take time i guess , but i am sure one day sooner we shall break the shackles !!!
:)
very well captured the thoughts of a typical software engineer ;-)!!
